Content

Food Technology builds upon students' capacities to make informed food choices. Students develop the skills required to analyse and respond creatively to challenges faced in everyday life while also being taught to consider the economic, environmental, and social impacts of food production and how they can contribute to a sustainable future.

Through practical experiences and investigations, students explore different food properties, processing, preparation, and consumption. They will also explore the importance of hygiene and safe working practices in food production, nutrition, and the understanding of labelling and marketing.
