Wellbeing Team
At Mount Barker High School, our Wellbeing team is dedicated to supporting all students' mental, emotional, and social health. We work to create a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment that encourages students to thrive both in and out of the classroom.
Our team collaborates with students, families, and staff to nurture each student's well-being and empower them to reach their full potential.
In our role, we:

- respond to crisis situations such as contacting the Social Work Incident Support Service (SWISS)
- guide and refer students to appropriate support and therapeutic services, including the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAHMS), Headspace, Summit Health, general practitioners, and Young Carers
- act as mandated reports of child abuse and neglect
- respect student's privacy and maintain confidentiality
- run clubs and activities aimed at celebrating diversity and promoting safe and supportive environments
- lead initiatives that support a whole school approach to student wellbeing and mental health
- case management of Tailored Learning Programs
