Positive Education
Positive education is embedded in our house program and subject teaching.
Positive education provides students with skills and knowledge to increase resilience and well-being. Based on the work of Professor Martin Seligman and other researchers in positive psychology, it aims to build students’ PERMA – positive emotion, engagement, relationships, meaning and achievement/accomplishment – which is Professor Seligman’s definition of well-being. The goal is to build upon and strengthen their understanding of positive education through various activities woven through the house program, focusing on the concepts and skills that research in positive psychology has shown to build well-being and resilience.
