Content

Integrated learning is a subject framework that enables students to link aspects of their lives and learning. With a focus on sports coaching, students in this subject may:

  • Develop skills and knowledge about coaching sports-specific skills, rules and tactics,
  • Plan, implement and review sporting tournaments
  • Investigate, design and implement a personal fitness program.

Through these real-world situations and other learning opportunities, students will grow their knowledge about themselves as learners and their capability while also developing, extending, and applying critical thinking skills through inquiry about aspects of the program focus that interest them.

This course emphasises student involvement in practical activities and how students demonstrate the ability to reflect on and evaluate their personal growth and development through the sports and activities chosen.
