Content

Students explore and analyse the interactions of people, societies, cultures and environments. They learn about how societies constantly change and are affected by social, political, historical, environmental, economic and cultural factors. They investigate how people function in groups and communicate within and across cultural groups. Students develop skills, experience, and understanding of how individual and group involvement can influence change, and they consider the consequences of a range of possible social actions. Society and Culture gives students critical insight into the significance of factors such as gender, ethnicity, racism, class, and power structures that affect the lives and identities of individuals and groups.
