The study of Physics is constructed around using models, laws, and theories to better understand matter, forces, energy, and the interaction among them. Physics is based on evidence obtained from observations, measurements, and active experimentation.

Topics may include:

• Energy and momentum
• Waves
• Nuclear models and radioactivity

Investigations Folio  30%

• Design Investigation (1000 words or equivalent multimodal)
• Science as a Human Endeavour task  (1000 words or equivalent multimodal)   

Examination  30%

• 90 minute end of semester exam

Additional Information

It is recommended students select Physics A and B if they wish to study Year 12 Physics.
